President of the Maastricht Aachen Airport (MAA) directors board Jan Tindemans is pleased with the discarding of fuel tax on national air traffic. It is of great value for the airport and according to Tindemans, in particular in benefit for the businessplan for a regular air service between MAA and Schiphol. He does point out that the discarding of fuel tax on national air traffic is no decisive factor for the businessplan to succeed. The fuel tax on national air traffic will cease to exist on January 1st 2012.
