Following our publication on high-class ‘fritures’, or snack bars, in Maastricht and the Eupen area, we were reminded by a reader, Mr Ralph van der Meulen, that Aachen has its own friture, also based on Aachen’s Michelin-star restaurant La Becasse. It opened in 2003 and its situated midtown in the Kapuziner-Karre (Alter Posthof) and is very well accepted by locals, especially on Saturdays whilst shopping or going to the movies.
