Sueli Brodin, a resident of the Maastricht Region, born in Brazil, who lived in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Japan and France today is awarded 'Expat of the Year'. Today the awards were presented during the official awards ceremony at Nyenrode Business University by expat organisation Expatica. Sueli Brodin also won the award because of her work for Crossroads, an English-language web magazine aimed at the international community living in Maastricht and surroundings, and www.maastrichtregion.com, for which she writes a weekly blog. The Maastricht region website from the Maastricht Region Branding Foundation was also nominated in the category 'service provider of the year'.
