Recently the mayors of Heerlen and Aachen opened the Sunweb solar tracker at Solland Solar. Unique in its kind, the solar tracker follows the movement of the sun to maximize energy output based on the available sunlight.
The Sunweb technology, developed by Solland Solar (Heerlen/Aachen) in cooperation with research institute ECN, enables Solland to significantly increase the efficiency of solar panels and thereby make a big step forward in reducing the costs of solar energy. The Sunweb solar tracker is expected to be available late 2010.
