The provincial deputy Bert Kersten in Maastricht expects that within a few months there will be clarity about the test of electric cars in Maastricht. At the national level, there is EUR 10m available for a number of experimental projects; and, according to the province, the start of the A2 Tower in Maastricht is an excellent opportunity to keep the city accessible. A major parking lot will be set up at the Beatrix industrial site, and electric buses and cars will be used to move people around from it.
